Hello and Happy Monday! It’s time for another edition of Weekend Happenings!
This weekend was another busy one (aren’t they always?!), coupled by the fact that I’m having 2 surgeries this month (carpal tunnel in both hands.. oy), so I was trying to get the house in order because yes, we are still not completely unpacked, haha. We’re finishing it tonight!
With that being said, it will be a bit quiet here on the blog these next 4 weeks, bear with me! I’m hoping to have some posts scheduled for you all so it’s not silent on Sincerely, LMS. Anyways!
Friday night was a needed, relaxing night. I feel asleep incredibly early and I think we watched a movie after eating dinner? Nothing to write home about because clearly I can’t even remember.
On Saturday morning, there was a nice, crisp Fall breeze which meant it was time to decorate for Fall! J is a great sport, and we went to Strites Orchard – so awesome if you’re local! – and scored some Fall decor and produce for a great price.
It’s Fall y’all! #soSouthern #suchaposer #youliveinPAdummy
We also hit up another Farmer’s Market later in the evening, but I can’t for the life of me remember the name. We got a lot more produce there and I’m happy to have some healthy options for the next couple weeks! Thank goodness J loves to cook!
This little set-up on our table makes me so happy – pumpkins and a fall bouquet! These cooler temperatures are just making me giddy
Sunday morning, we met up with a friend and her cute kiddos for brunch (Home 231 for you locals, my favorite!) and then went to the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts. We had a great time hanging out with the kiddos, watching a panda movie, showing them the Capitol building (one of my favorite views in Harrisburg) and doing fun, science-y things.
Needless to say, I was exhausted afterwards and took an (accidental) 3 hour nap, did some laundry, ate dinner and then conked out again. I did not get to organizing my office like I had wanted to! #adultingishard
Now, it’s a short week at the office before heading off to surgery so it’s busy, busy but life is so, so good!
And I had this cute view to look at this morning when I walked outside the house so of course life is good! It’s (likely) not staying like this, but it was raining when we got home with all my Fall related booty on Saturday, and I just set it down with plans to organize it later.
Tell me – How was your weekend? Don’t forget that the 3rd Blogiversary Giveaway ends tomorrow, so make sure you fill out the survey and enter for a chance to win a $10 Starbucks gift card!
